Anthony and Scott talk about a booklet that Anthony penned called, “So You Wanna Get Married Huh?” and get to the heart of why he felt it necessary to write it.
Asking someone to marry you is probably one of the biggest decisions you'll ever make in your entire life. This podcast talks about the reasons for doing it in the first place and what signs to look for before making that decision. The book was based on 3 main rules that Anthony learned after getting divorced from his first wife. Rule #1: When your friends tell you someone is bad for you, listen to them. Rule #2: When you haven't made up your mind about the person your dating and your friends tell you someone is good for you, don't listen to them. Rule #3: When you're already smitten and you solicit your friends opinion, all you're looking for is Rule #1.
We dissect each rule and also discuss other universal truths in relationships that nobody really talks about before you get married. We also talk about all the wrong reasons people get married and how to avoid those.
