As men we get subjected to expectations by our parents on what it is that we should be in our career. Some men go through their whole life working a job that they never would have picked out for themselves only to have a mid-life crisis and realize that what they really want is something else entirely. The reason some men take so long to make that change is because of their fear of disappointing their parents, and the truth is, you’re going to disappoint them one day anyway, so better to take that stand early in your life so that you don’t live it for other people.
